Dear administrator(s) - I sent my membership check in back in December... am I suppose to be getting a newsletter?  Also, am I now considered as "MOASF Member" and can I add pics?

The web guys should modify your profile so it says 'Member' now instead of 'Newbie'..

Erm, as for the newsletter Chris (Hypersprite) was doing them voluntarily, alas work and life priorities took precedent and he graciously bowed out for someone else to take the reigns.. I think it was.. Craig? The newsletters aren't monthly, I gather they are more a seasonal round-up of upcoming events and Mini owner tips thrown in, stuff like that, mostly the online edition though I've seen postcards sent out before for the more major events..  Wink

This is really more so a WAG (wild ah.. guess) .. can someone of more authority/history chime in?  :Smiley

Thanks Starlord!  I was just wondering... I completely understand how work, life, and numerous other "stuff" can leave little time for everything else... even sometimes getting in the way of us spending time w/ our Minis.   Smiley

I'll give a shout out for the guys who voluntarily run the club and monitor the site.  Thanks guys!

That is about right with the newsletters.  In my opinion, the forum is so much more upto date than a news letter ever was as far as upcoming events.  And when it comes to past events, it was a huge PITA for the editor to wrangle up enough content from people to make it useful.  A lot of it ended up just being copied from posts in the forum after an event happened.  We all understand that not everyone is online...  but ya do what ya gotta do.  We can't force anyone to do the newsleter... and any volunteer is better than none.

As for the "MOASF Member" status in the forum... we have a pretty manual process for that.
1) You notify one of the forum admins by email or private message letting us know enough real information (name, address) to cross reference you with the "club roster".
2) We check with the accountant who got your check for your dues.
3) We maunally adjust your forum account.
