This is a  very cool autocross event down here in San Jose (Cupertino) that has a turn out of 200+ cars.  I have a bunch of entry forms, as registration must be done by mail, and received by 5/05/2008.  We need a mini class!!  Let me know and I can send you an entry form.  Wouldn't it be cool to have 10 + minis??  at the last autocross, there were 3 of us and we caused quite a stir!!

Cost is $20 per person, or $35 per couple.

Should be great!!

A slight correction...
The date is Sunday, May 18th per the De Anza College events calendar.  The 15th is a Thursday.  It was a fun time a couple of years ago when we kind of fell into it and saw that '69 or '70 Plymouth Satellite burn up the track.  That guy knew how to push that thing to the limit!

That sounds like fun.  We should be going too.

This Sunday at HP Pavillion Arena Employee Parking Lot  are the moped races.  No, not scooters.  We've gone the last couple of years and it's fun to watch those guys go flying around. Mopeds, go carts,  those tiny motorcycles, gas powered state board scooters...   It's free just bring something to sit on and water.  Think it starts at 1 o'clock.   The employee parking lot is behind the Arena down the street.  Just listen for the sound of bees.   Grin

Thanks for posting that Shadi.  The event was really well organized and fun.  Very beginner friendly.  Though it is registration by mail only, I did have a bunch of applications.  It would be great to get some more minis out there.  They run it on the 3rd Sunday of May.

Also, the UFO group run autoX at the Marina Airport at least once a month.  Though hard on the car, it's a safe environment to open it up and drive it.

Got bored with the Vinyl dots.  I like it better without.  JapanBoy, we missed you this weekend.  Gotta get the car prepped for the autoX at MiniMeet West.
