Just found out that our Mini corral will be located in the paddock right in front of the pavillion. This is right in the center of all the activities. When you enter the gate, there will be signs telling you to proceed to the top of the hill, as you get there you will see a sign that will say Mini Cooper & Shelby corral. Follow those signs down into the paddock.
This is for both Saturday & Sunday.

If you are driving a Mini, please come by and park with us.

Dr. Dave is you need a ticket let me know (norm@redwoodempiremini.com).
I have two extra (2day) tickets. I am driving down to Milpitas tomorrow and could meet you along the way.

Somone should bring fliers for the Hayward Meet with them so you can hand them out.

Dropped by Infineon today to check things out. We have the BEST possible parking spot of anybody. We are right in front of the Wine Pavillion in the center of the paddock.

Enter the main gate and drive up the hill to entrance "C", there will be a sign saying Shelby & Mini Cooper corral with an arrow. Make sure to acknowledge the guard and let him wave you in. I promised I would tell everyone to do so. Drive down the hill and as you get to the paddock (flat area) you will see a big white tent (pavillion). This is the "Cork Pop" pavillion. Our Mini Cooper corral will be right in front. We have "police guard" fencing around our area.

Some of us will arrive around 8AM and Joe Huffaker has washed and cleaned his Mini and will be parking with us.

ALL Mini/MINIs are welcome into the corral. Ran into Gary Anderson. He will be driving a red MGA #4 and Don Racine (Mini Mania) driving an Aardvark (blue #45). Tim Brecht will be driving a classic Mini (gray #14). I told him we would have a few classics in the corral if he needed any parts.

There are about 40 formula juniors that will be racing, Several CANAM McClarens, and lots and lots of cool vintage race cars. Not alot of shade so bring sunscreen and a hat. If you have a canopy you can put that up as well. Cooler & Chairs are a good idea, but there will be plenty of food service available. Bring a CAMERA!!!!

Hi Dave

I'll be leaving SF (28th and Cabrillo) around 7am; my 14 year old was waffling over the Mini vs the Mustang, and the Mini seems to be winning out...

Give me a call if you get a chance, or I'll see you at the corral

Regards,
Marc

If anyone decides to come out to Infineon today, please call me on cell 707-483-9948 if you need a ticket. I have a couple extra and can drop them off at will call. These are free. Rob & Leeta had some they are not using and Jesse had one extra, so I have some.

We have a GREAT parking location in the center of the paddock. If you are driving a Mini you can join us. Just follow the directions above. We are right in front of the big white tent (pavillion). We had about 25+ Minis yesterday.

Bring a cooler and food. Prices are high. Beer is $7 a glass and food is pretty expensive.

Sunscreen, hat, comfortable shoes, wind breaker jacket, chair, camera

Saturday was a little overcast, but we had at least 22 MINIs and 4 Minis... Sunday was warm and brought out over 32 Mini-MINIs... what a beautiful weekend!

For a look back when Minis weren't vintage at Sears:

I know hard to tell they are Minis, but circa 1974-75

I dug out a 1969 8mm home movie of the F5000 races at Sears Point. It also included a bunch of regional SCCA races. I was there with my 1964 MG Midget. Great memories!

Some great pic's of what looked like a great weekend.  I really liked the last picture of the guys approaching the "Darth Vader" looking mini.  Great looking car but looks like they were afraid to approach it!  Ha!  Sorry I could not join all.  Back in the Continental US later this week.
