OK, at last some photos of my latest Mini. With luck my wife will start speaking to me again and let me take this with us to the USA later this summer...

The shell is pretty sound with only a few minor problems I may try to correct before she leaves the UK. Long term I'll probably get a respary (blue body, but white roof/arches). Need to ditch the dashboard ASAP in favor of something more traditional. Sunroof needs fixed as it leaks - maybe not a problem in CA, but certainly one here in Scotland! Only other thing I must attend to soon is a monor oil leak (not looked too hard yet, but seems to be high up on the speedo casing gasket).

   Cheers,
   Colin.

P.S.
LHD conversion might not be as easy as anticipated as there's a VERY large turbo box cut-out in the bulkhead that imposes on the left footwell... would probably fowl a LHD throttle pedal... unless I fit a race 3-pedal box Smiley

Mission accomplished! Picked her up from Port Hueneme yesterday and towed her 430 miles north where she's now sitting outside my house in Santa Rosa. Still need to get the DMV registration done, but hopefully that'll be a relatively straight forward process. With luck she'll be US road legal by the end of the month Smiley

Congrats! Good luck with the DMV. It's pretty straight forward, but make sure the vin plate is riveted. Hope to see it on the roads soon.

Nicely done.  If you got that car past Port Hueneme Customs, DMV will be a breeze.  Make sure you have all the paperwork and the #s on the paperwork match the numbers on the car and you're done.

The V5 (UK originals) and my import paperwok matches the VIN and engine serials numbers. The DMV love a good papertrail so I'm not expecting any problems Smiley
