Terry,
I would love to borrow yours to make a copy. Now I just have to figure out how to get it. Maybe next meeting we can play with your ecu reader on the MPI as well? I reinstalled the ICE chip and it's running well but I would love to know the #'s. I'll be in touch. -Shawn

How very COOL!  I've always been interested in the tremendous power increase the twin cam BMW head setup brings.  You will definately have a great following of members and other MINI lovers on this project.

So, a month later and the kit from Specialist should with any luck soon be on its way to my garage.  I've also torn down the gearbox and made an order to Seven to get the parts for that rebuild.  When the kit from SC arrives I'll be over to the machine shop that has the head and up to Seven to pick up parts and drop off the block and rotating bits for them to do.  Hopefully, by the end of this month I should have all of those parts together to do the rebuild.  In the meantime I really need to get at the engine bay and clean it all out, drop the front subframe and do the disc brake conversion and pound out the big dents in the fenders.  And there's always the painting of the straightened front end and refitting the bonnet.

Heck, I might be done this time next year!

Craig, Sounds like great (and happy) progress though.  From truck, to no truck, to mini vision, to room to work.  Seems like it's all in the master plan. Wish I could be at the Hayward Meet to hear all the stories but I'll be in LA for a wedding this weekend.  Enjoy, J

So, the parts from Specialist Components arrived yesterday at my house.  Ordered Wednesday 6/2 and arrived 6/7, except that no one was home to recieve the boxes and they came back the next day to deliver.  Four working days from the UK to Campbell, CA.  Amazing.

Unpacked everything and will get it all set up for pics and a review this weekend.  Good looking stuff and I can't hardly wait to get into the work again.

Although it is suh-weet! it's not mine.  Mine is in pieces all over the garage and I'm not planning on doing a turbo.  I need to get back out there and start the block modifications, so this one is a good motivator.   Cool
